Chikuminuk Lake Hydroelectric Project
From 2011 to 2013, Nuvista explored the possibility of hydroelectric power at Chikuminuk Lake. Environmental and economic questions and the political landscape have prevented this particular hydroelectric project from being a practical solution to Western Alaska’s energy problems at this time; therefore, Nuvista’s Board decided to change course. We remain proud of the work we have conducted to analyze the project and the conditions at the site. Please learn from the information shared and catalogued on this site.
